While it is a FANTASTIC time to sell it is NOT a great time to buy. I have actually told my first time buyers to wait which is not something I would normally say but the frustration of making multiple offers, not asking for inspections because you are up against multiple offers is truly not a great way to purchase real estate.
If you are nearing a time when you want to move to a 55 year or older community or a place like Masonic Village then yes get your house on the market NOW!!
My daughter is going to sell and move in with us for a year or two as the real estate market always cycles.
Decide on your long term goal and go from there :)
The last home I listed sold within days and over full price with NO inspections.
Call me with any questions you may have and I will try to answer them as honestly as possible because I believe in the long run I keep clients as friends much longer when I tell them the truth instead of telling them what they want to hear or what may make a quick sale :)

WOW what a market!!! If you are selling it is a wonderful time! If you are buying it is a very frustrating time. There are not many homes coming on the market that do not have multiple offers!!!
I think if you are educated by your realtor going into the process you will not be quite as frustrated and it is all about the process. Finding a realtor that you feel comfortable with, that you feel "hears you" and guides you in the journey is important! I have sold homes since 1997 and I strongly believe that when you walk into a home you know if it feels like "I am home"! I also believe that if it is the home you are to have it will work out.
With all that said I am so honored to be marketing 603 Deerbrush Gardens, Lititz, PA! Carrie Ramsey has been a client of mine for years. I sold her first home then worked through a build job with her and then the purchase of Deerbrush. I love return clients because honestly, I feel my clients become friends!!!

WOW if you are considering selling your home and moving south, going to a retirement community, buying a travel trailer, and driving off into the sunset NOW is the time to do it!!!! Houses are selling at all-time highs with most having multiple offers!!!!
Now I know Realtors will hate that I say this BUT if you are a first-time home buyer you may want to HOLD. You are going to pay top dollar and you will deal with the frustration of being up against multiple bids. Yes, I want to make a living but I also want a client for life so I will call it the way I see it!

I listed a home yesterday that I think will move quickly. It is a small rancher great for an "empty nester" or first time home buyer! Typically these older, smaller homes are "dated" but this one is in move in condition!
