Nobody tells you “be your own boss” also means your boss is now a psychopath who knows where you live.

I left the 9-to-5 so I could stop working 8 hours a day and start thinking about work for 16.

And that’s probably the part nobody really warns you about. When it’s your business, your brain never really clocks out.

You’re thinking about the next idea, the next problem, the next opportunity, the next thing you forgot to do.

The freedom is great. The flexibility is great.

But there were definitely seasons where I worked way more than I ever did for somebody else.

Eventually, you realize one of the hardest parts of owning a business is learning how to actually stop working.
