Any self employed individual must learn this lesson in order to continually grow and be successful:

Activity ≠ productivity. If you are not focused with a clear plan, you can work to the point of exhaustion and see no progress. This is why so many people burn out.

There’s a universal 80/20 rule. Approximately 80% of your progress comes from 20% of your activity. Hone in on your 20%. Eventually, you’ll get to the level where you can delegate the rest.

Stories like these make my job so rewarding and remind me why I became a realtor.

One recent client, Nick, needed an agent who understood his esthetic, had the knowledge and experience to know what restoration was worth tackling and when to walk away and the tenacity to negotiate $12k in repairs and an additional $20k off without losing the deal. After seeing a few homes in Nashville, Nick realized he was falling in love with a new market-- Chattanooga. Not a problem because we have an office there, too!!

A few scenic drives later, and we found Nick the private wooded vintage chalet of his dreams!
