Tip Tuesday 220 🏡 | When the insulation is almost your size but you’re too stubborn to let it win 🏆😂

For reference:

🙋‍♀️ Me: 5’1” and 114 lbs
🧱 Insulation bag: 4’2” and 42 lbs
🏆 Winner: ME. Obviously.

I was laughing at myself the entire time carrying this thing because WHY is a bag of insulation almost as tall as I am?! 😂

But here’s the actual homeowner tip hiding underneath this ridiculous video:

Fiberglass insulation can irritate your skin, eyes, nose and respiratory system. And yes, I learned the skin part firsthand because my skin was RED afterward. 😬

So when you’re handling fiberglass:

🧤 Wear gloves
👕 Cover your arms and legs
🥽 Protect your eyes
😷 Wear an N95 when you’re dealing with airborne fibers and dust
🚿 Shower and change afterward

Yes, I had protective gear on while working with it inside the house.

And then it was approximately 1,000 degrees outside. 🥵🔥

So apparently when it was time to haul the bags out, common sense left the building right along with the insulation. 😂🤦‍♀️

I showered immediately afterward and cleaned myself up.

Pro tip: Don’t copy my outfit. You CAN copy my refusal to let a 42 lb bag of insulation defeat me. 💪😂🏆

The market is changing, but it has not stopped moving! Prices and activity varied by county, while every county remained below three months of housing supply.

What does that mean? Sellers still have the advantage, but buyers may have more opportunities depending on the location, price, and condition of the home.

🔥 Tip Tuesday #219: Burn the Brush, Not Your Weekend 🔥

Country girl living in the city… apparently with a bonfire. 😂🔥

My dad called, and his first question wasn’t, “How are you?”

It was… “Is THAT at your house?!” 🤣

Yep. Sure is.

Let’s just say growing up in the country prepared me for this. Living in the city means the neighbors probably had front-row seats. 😅

When you get a nice day, don’t waste it.

🌿 Pull the weeds.
🪵 Pick up the branches.
🍂 Rake the leaves.
✂️ Trim back the overgrowth.

A few hours of yard work today beats spending your entire Saturday catching up later.

And yes… I had a hose ready the whole time. Safety first! 💦🔥🚒

Your yard doesn’t maintain itself, but your future self will definitely appreciate the effort. 🏡✨

🪞 If something doesn’t work in your space… don’t let it become permanent clutter.

This mirror wasn’t the right size for my house. It was past the return window, weighed a ton 💪, and I had no one around to help move it. So… I loaded it up myself and took it back anyway. 🚗

✨ The lesson? Don’t let furniture, décor, appliances, picture frames, or random purchases collect dust in your basement, attic, garage, or spare room “just because.”

📦 Return it.
💰 Sell it.
🤝 Donate it.
📱 List it on Facebook Marketplace.

Your home should work for you, not become a storage unit.

🧹 Less clutter = less dust.
🧠 Less clutter = less mental clutter.
🏡 More space = a home you’ll actually enjoy living in.

Your future self (and future buyers 😉) will thank you!

Don’t let pretty vines fool you… they’re little homewreckers. 😅

They might look charming climbing your fence or garage, but give them enough time and they’ll start creeping into your siding, roof, gutters, electrical lines, and anywhere else they can find.

Today’s workout? Fighting vines. Again. 🙄

✂️ Trim them back early.
🏡 Stay on top of maintenance.
💰 It’ll save you thousands in repairs later.
