This is going to be a fun story to tell.
In 2019 I agreed to sell a house KMart layaway style for $30,000 with a lease option to purchase.

Resident tenant put down $3000 for the option locking in the price (a value even at that time). For the agreed 2 year timeframe, any payments made would be multiplied by 1.5 with matching bonus funds.

Well this month she paid the house off!

While I’m sad to see the monthly rent go away, I’m happy for her and her family to be home owners with no mortgage.

Today is a big day for my investor journey. We have these two properties paid off and we are getting a line of credit against them for $200,000! We started with an $80,000 cash out refinance of our personal home, then a few years later a $70,000 HELOC and from there we built a $4 million+ rental portfolio using Velocity Banking and a lot of work as a side hustle. Today this is the my sole focus, at the beginning of the year I am starting a lending company having done some angel investing and micro lending with 4 different parties this year, I am expanding and partnering to go bigger.

Today I am a Real Estate Agent, Certified Professional Landlord, Airbnb Super Host, Finance Consultant and Lender, local TikTok celebrity, local and national podcast speaker, live event speaker, Doodle dad, and most important Christian, family man, provider and protector.

While I work extremely hard and long hours, it is on my own terms and have the flexibility to serve where I am needed - clients/family/community. I love the freedom and flexibility my journey has provided.

I have connected with old friends, made new ones. I've surrounded myself around positive movers and shakers and opened up my home for people to enjoy some of my favorite things -lake life and live music -see and follow The Tipsy Turtle
