There’s something extra special about watching a home go from plans and selections to completely finished. 🤍

This new construction home officially SOLD, and I had the opportunity to be part of it long before the final photos were taken.

From the warm natural cabinetry and brass details to the statement lighting, countertops, tile, built-ins and every finish in between, I personally selected and designed the finishes throughout this home.

The goal was a home that felt warm, timeless and elevated without feeling overly trendy. Seeing all of those individual decisions come together into one finished space is one of my favorite parts of new construction.

And yes… the Virgo in me loved every. single. detail. ♍️✨

Kayak the Potomac River from Columbia Island Marina, because it’s the last real weekend to soak up summer on the water.

The Netherlands Carillon Free Concert at Arlington Ridge Park on Saturday evening — bring a blanket and enjoy the music with one of the best views overlooking D.C.

Visit Arlington National Cemetery + Memorial Amphitheater on Monday, because Labor Day is the perfect excuse to slow down and experience one of Arlington’s most meaningful landmarks.

And if you’re making a whole weekend of it, book a staycation at The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City or head across the river for DC JazzFest at The Wharf.

Living in Northern Virginia means your “neighborhood” is so much bigger than the street you live on. 🤍

It’s dinner at Patsy’s after a long week, summer days at Lake Fairfax Park, a round at Trump National Golf Club, and catching a game or concert at Capital One Arena.

It’s a weekend drive to Paladin in Downtown Wi******er, a Nats game at Nationals Park, afternoons at Ida Lee Park, and heading out to Middleburg for the horse races at Glenwood Park.

And when you want to get out of town without really leaving home? Luray Caverns, Great Meadow, and Fairfax Country Club are all part of the lifestyle you get to enjoy around this area.

It’s the people.

This photo was taken at our neighborhood “Pardon Our Dust” open house in Reston, and it’s one of those moments that sums up why I love what I do.
