The most “motherly” photo I could find 🤣. My sweet, little baby who just burped up breast milk onto me. Pure and raw motherhood moment right there. This was 9 years ago. We’re officially half way through your childhood and it couldn’t make me cry more, realizing that. It truly goes by so quickly. I look back on photos and videos, and think of how cute your lisp was, how chubby your cheeks were, and how much you loved to tell mama everything. Bringing you into the world has brought us so many joys. So much growth. So much stability. Becoming your mom was the best decision I have ever made. Because of you, Mother’s Day is a joyful holiday worth celebrating again. I hope everyone has a chance to feel this love one day- whether it’s biological or adopted. To all the moms out there, especially those who have felt tragedy, I wish you all the peace and comfort today and every day. You deserve to be celebrated for your strength and love. Every year, someone announces that agents are finally finished.

The headline writes itself. New app. New algorithm. New "disruption." Same prediction.

Here's the actual scoreboard after a decade of trying:

One company burned nearly a billion dollars attempting to buy and flip homes using its own valuation tool, then quietly shut the program down.

Another slashed its workforce twice in under two years trying to make a discount model pencil out.

A third promised sellers they could skip the agent entirely and walk away with more money. The average seller who took that deal left $82,000 on the table.

Meanwhile, 97% of buyers still hire an agent.

The threat to this profession was never technology.

There will be NO “congratulations” for this seller! None! At least not until we close.
My clients reached out to me when their original buyer offer fell through, 2 days prior to closing, with a different agent. Given that has given them a little PTSD over this process (understandably so), we are just purely giving the public an update that it’s gone under contract. Once it closes, these guys deserve the biggest celebration ever though! Not just for selling their house, but for also welcoming a handsome baby boy that I get to share my birthday with now!! 💙💙💙 Come June, baby boy will be sleeping more and the parents will be able to enjoy a bottle of bubbly! Until then, it’s strictly good vibes and business moving along as usual! 😉

Now this is a story all about how…my buyers life got flipped upside down! But just for a hot sec there! Long story short, two generations sold their homes in Sterling, and decided to find a multi-generational home in western Loudoun, closer to their business. Well, when two offers didn’t work out and our rent back was nearing to the point of adding short term rentals onto their agenda, a little birdie told me about this amazing opportunity where it had not one, but TWO, homes on 14 acres! One brand new and one completely updated! It was meant to be! I try to tell people that sometimes the losses are for a reason. And I truly believe that. It’s not me saying it to make anyone feel better. But this is it. This is the property, the home. Sometimes situations, timelines and people all align and it works out great. BUT you have to be plugged in 100% to make it a possibility. Congrats to my amazing clients. Time to get you to the closing table!!
