Every Fourth of July, I’m reminded how profoundly grateful I am to be an American.🇺🇸
Two hundred and fifty years ago, a small group of extraordinary men signed a document that would forever change the course of history. They knew the cost. By pledging “our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor,” they risked everything—their safety, their families, their livelihoods, and, for many, their futures. Yet they believed that the cause of liberty was worth any sacrifice.
I will never be able to fully express my gratitude for the vision, courage, conviction, and perseverance of our Founding Fathers. Their willingness to sacrifice so much gave generations of Americans—including mine—the opportunity to live in freedom under a constitutional representative republic unlike any the world had ever known.
My gratitude extends as well to every man and woman who has worn our nation’s uniform, and to all who have served this country in every generation. The freedoms we enjoy have never been free. They have been secured, protected, and preserved by people willing to put service above self.
As we celebrate Independence Day and commemorate America’s 250th anniversary, I also believe we have a responsibility to preserve what we have inherited. Freedom is never guaranteed. Every generation must choose whether to defend the principles of individual liberty, limited government, the rule of law, and personal responsibility that have defined our republic.
I pray I never take for granted nor forget the sacrifices that made this nation possible, and I pray we all remain worthy stewards of the blessings we’ve inherited, and that we leave to future generations an America that is every bit as free as the one entrusted to us.
God bless America, and Happy 250th Birthday to our country! Have a beautiful weekend, y’all🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️❤️❤️🤍🤍🤍💙💙💙
