Spring Buyers Don’t Walk Through Homes Looking For Perfection

In April showings, buyers move quickly past cosmetic things. Paint colors, fixtures, even outdated finishes usually are not the deal-breakers. What they are really evaluating is: • Does the layout make sense? • Does the home feel solid and well cared for? • Does the space work for how people actually live? If the bones are good, buyers can imagine the updates over time. But if the layout or structure does not work, no amount of fresh finishes changes that. Spring buyers are not looking for flawless — they are looking for a home that is worth investing in. 🏡

Spring market has its own ins and outs. Some things instantly make buyers lean in. Other things quietly make them hesitate. And most of it comes down to what buyers notice in the first few minutes of a showing. Spring tends to reward homes that feel clear, bright, and easy to understand — not necessarily the ones with the most updates. Which one surprises you the most? 🏡

It's the last Monday in March. I've posted the reset picture to go with this post. Why? I'm not going to lie, March was hard. Very hard. Many lives of friends and loved ones changed drastically with the blink of an eye. Last week was the worst, every time I picked up my phone to look at it, there was another incident that absolutely took my breath away and not in a good way. And even today, more is trickling in. They always say death comes in 3s but last week it seemed like it was 3 a day. My prayers are with my friends and family who are left hurting and healing.

March hasn't been all bad, I've had many small victories that are adding up and showing me I am on the right path and things are looking up - so I won't write it off as a bad month. Besides I've always been partial to March since it is my birth month. And I did have one of the best birthdays ever this year! So no, it's hasn't been all bad - but it has been painful.

Tomorrow is the last day of March, then on Wednesday don't let your guard down because it is April Fool's Day - but I predict we can all coast through these next few days. The reset picture is posted with this because maybe we all just need to pause, take a deep breath, maybe say a prayer for those who need it and RESET!

Onward and upward my friends, we've got this and we've got each other.

Do you have visions of your dream home? Does it already exist? Do you drive by it frequently and think, if it were for sale I would buy it? Or do you think "someday" sprinkled in with a heavy sigh? You know what? Your dream home might just be closer than you think!

I can find you a lot to build on if that is the route your dream home is taking you on. Or, if you drive by a home often and think, that's it, that's the house I want. Call me! Let's work through this. It might be much more attainable than you think!

I am not afraid to approach the owner of your dream home and see if they would consider selling! You never know, it may be time for them to downsize or upsize..... the point is, you don't know if you don't ask! So ask me, the worst that can happen is that they could say no and then we will just move forward from there!
