I love Cynthia Rylant! If you collect childrens' books like I do, this one is a must...."The Relatives Came"

Don't let people stress you out during this wonderful time of year. Find the joy in gathering together with family and friends. The other day my grandson said," Thanksgiving is supposed to be a relaxing day". I immediately was concerned about that comment. I'm trying to think of the last "relaxing" Thanksgiving Day I had! I'm glad that he finds it relaxing. That says a lot about his mother doesn't it?

Count your blessings for there are more than you might think...

What is the favorite Halloween candy at your house? I am finding that I agree with one of my granddaughters on that one. I love 100 Grands, Payday (why do they always deal with money???) I also love Milk Duds and the DARK chocolate Milky Ways. The problem is I can't find those anywhere!!!
I just don't like coconut, so Almond Joys are definitely out for me!

Also, do you (as an adult) still dress up for Halloween? Is it for you or for the kids? What are you going be? A couple of years ago I bought a Mary Poppins dress (the "jolly holiday" one) because as I tell my kids I am "Practically Perfect in Every Way!!!" Still trying to convince someone of that!!! Hmmm.
