RE Key 7 (Again): You can’t help those who aren’t willing to help themselves.
(SEE-EN SERVICES LLC)
Over the past eight years, we've been honored to bless nearly 1,000 individuals and families with secure safe, stable housing. We have built our reputation on compassion, flexibility, and second chances. We've worked with residents through financial hardships, accepted delayed rent payments, and often gone above and beyond to help people succeed.
With that said, working with Second-Chance Tenants is incredibly rewarding, but it also comes with challenges.
For our first seven years, we maintained a tenant-first approach, choosing compassion over litigation. Even in difficult situations, we avoided court, allowed tenants to threaten, come to their senses, move on or correct their paths on their own terms. Sometimes our homes were destroyed but EVERY Tenant ended up leaving on their own accord.
Since March 2025, however, a series of unvetted placements from external organizations forced an operational shift. Faced with uncooperative tenants who just stopped paying rent (sometimes after the 1st month), escalating threats from those tenants (most stated, "take me to court"), and tenants refusing to leave our properties, we have had to transition from a flexible model to strict legal enforcement.
While our core values remain rooted in fairness, we reverted back to our vetting process and now rely firmly on our legal counsel to protect our properties and maintain accountability.
We despise hindering people and going to court/placing judgments on them BUT this past 18 months has taught us it is necessary (for some). Security Deposit retained/Another Judgment Won.
Compassion and accountability can coexist and NO MATTER WHAT we will continue this mission.
