Tandy Shuler began her career as a loan officer assistant at MIG in 1996 and was promoted to a full-time loan officer just two years later. During her time lending in the area, she came to realize that Lenoir City did not have much mortgage representation. In 2004, she opened a new branch in Lenoir City for Mortgage Investors Group, where she serves as Branch Manager and Senior Loan Officer. She h

as successfully expanded her team from three people upon opening to eight currently. Tandy says the best part of the job is helping people obtain a home loan and getting them to the closing table. “It’s always an adventure,” she said. “I enjoy being presented with a problem and being able to help the borrower solve the problem in a way that benefits them the most.”

Shuler has been recognized annually over the last two decades by the Knoxville Mortgage Bankers Association including a Platinum Award for 2020 and 2021. During the Coronavirus pandemic, she was able to double her production with no additional team members versus 2019. Tandy is extremely passionate about her business. With a full team which includes her assistant, 3 processors, in house underwriters, and her closer, she is welcome to accepting any challenge thrown her way. She is able to complete land loans, purchases, construction loans, and refinances. If there is anything she is not able to complete herself, she certainly has the contacts to know who can help! In addition to operating her business, she is mother to her 8 (almost 9 year old) son and enjoys spending as much time as possible with him.
