While at Golden Retreat check out Mill Camp Winery. Just outside of Boone NC.
Fabulous deck with Simply Scott playing great music. Pup friendly and a wonderful food truck to go with your favorite c***r or w**e. Also make their own sodas!
Lakey and River loved it. The staff was so welcoming, hospitality overload. Loved it.

When you book your stay at Golden Retreat don’t forget to walk all around Blowing Rock.
We started at Say Cheese for delicious grilled cheese lunch with a Lemon and Leaf lemonade. Then walked Broyhill park with all the beautiful flowers and new statues. Then ended up at Blowing Rock Brewery for some refreshments. Even had Grounded Works leather on display. We all have Hunters wallets. Love our town! Lakey and River do too!

Had some pretty heavy rain last night. It was a real good soaking! Now on to another beautiful day here in the high country. Crisp cool morning with a few low clouds.
Great day to get out for a hike or shop downtown Blowing Rock.

Lakey and River love their walks at Bass Lake in Blowing Rock in the morning. After that we head to Say Cheese Gourmet Grilled Cheese for a sandwich.

Finally got some much needed rain here in NC. Makes for a beautiful morning. Video in the comments show even River thinks the view is awesome. Come check it out!
