As of June 1st, out of state visitors to Delaware will no longer be required to quarantine and short term accommodations will also be available. Covid19 has had little effect on the beach area's real estate market. Since April 1st, beach community sales have averaged over 19 sales PER DAY! Throughout Sussex County, the number is 30 per day. While those numbers might not rival some major metropolitan areas, considering the small geographical size of Sussex County they are quite impressive.. In some areas values have actually risen, especially in the communities east of RT. 1 and closest to the beach. If you are seriously considering the purchase of a second or permanent home here in Delaware, now is the time to act.
