🎯 Sunday Hunting is Here to Stay! 🦌
At Sportsman Properties Real Estate, we’re thrilled to share this monumental update for all Pennsylvania hunters. After decades of advocacy and persistence, the ban on Sunday hunting has finally been repealed — and starting this September, Sundays in the woods are officially on the calendar!
Hunters will now have access to Sunday hunting from September 14 through December 7 (excluding migratory game bird seasons). That means 13 Sundays of opportunity during already established hunting seasons:
🗓️ Sept. 14, 21, 28
🗓️ Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26
🗓️ Nov. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
🗓️ Dec. 7
This isn’t just about adding extra dates to your calendar — it’s about expanding access for hardworking men and women, passing on our hunting heritage to the next generation, and removing outdated barriers that have limited opportunity for far too long.
We proudly stand with Pennsylvania’s passionate sportsmen and women in celebrating this victory. So whether you’re chasing whitetail, scouting turkeys, or just spending quality time outdoors — Sundays are now yours to enjoy.
🏹 From the field to the closing table, Sportsman Properties Real Estate is your partner in all things land, lifestyle, and legacy. Happy hunting, Pennsylvania!!!

After decades of working toward repealing the ban on Sunday hunting, today, we celebrate.
The board has heard recommendations from agency staff. They’ve heard from passionate sportsmen and women of Pennsylvania and today, they voted ‘yes’ for additional Sunday hunting opportunities starting this year!
Starting this September, hunters will now have Sunday hunting available to them through December 7. These Sundays will fall within the already established hunting seasons, with the lone exception being migratory game bird seasons. [If Sundays were added to migratory game bird seasons for 2025-26, it would result in an overall loss in hunting days.]
Dates included will be September 14, 21, and 28; October 5, 12, 19, and 26; November 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30; and December 7.
These are more than just extra days in the field. They are a reflection of the Game Commission’s commitment to remove barriers, make hunting more accessible, and ensure Pennsylvania’s hunting heritage continues to be passed on!
THANK YOU for being a Pennsylvania hunter!
