Event soon!! One of my families favorites!

On June 13th in Hampshire, Tennessee, the Blueberry Bash at Highland Realm Blueberry Farm takes place and is sure to be one of the best small-town events of the summer here in the Volunteer State! Held from 3 pm to 8 pm, this laid-back, family-friendly gathering celebrates peak blueberry season on a scenic 200-acre farm made up of open fields and wooded land. Guests can pick their own berries straight from the bushes, then wander through a lineup of local vendors offering handmade goods while live music from 422 West plays into the evening.

The farm is known for growing multiple varieties of blueberries that ripen at slightly different times, helping stretch the harvest season, and blueberries themselves are one of the few fruits native to North America. Food trucks and stands serve up fresh favorites like blueberry cobbler, pies, muffins, and cold blueberry lemonade. Kids can enjoy face painting, a water slide, and games in the Kid Zone, while others take horseback rides or cool off wading in the nearby creek.

Hello friends, for those of you that don’t know me,I wanted to spend the next several weeks giving you all some insight on my life.

I’ve been in the trucking industry for over 30 years and with God’s blessings I built a business as an owner operator of a small trucking business.

From 2015 to 2021 and then again in 2023, I was an owner operator. I built that business through hard work, long hours and personal responsibility.

I handled every part of the business myself-driving the truck, maintaining my equipment ,managing finances and meeting all regulations. Every load delivered on time was a result of discipline, planning and a commitment to do the job right.

My experience in being a business owner taught me the value of accountability and perseverance.

Running a trucking business means that there are no excuses-only results.

It’s an experience that I’m proud of and it shaped who I am as a leader,a worker, and a problem solver.

Hope you all have a great week ahead.

Reports are that nearly 80% of Meriwether Lewis Electric (MLEC) customers in Lewis County are without power. Of course some of these customers are also in the edges of Lawrence County too. .

MLEC is bringing in additional crews from other areas to assist with the restoration of service - but customers can expect it to likely take several days to restore normal service - and could take up to a week..
