Tonight, my husband and I took our little girl for an evening drive down the back roads, looking for deer and soaking in the last of the fall colors. The sky was showing off, the mountains seemed to go on forever, and it was one of those simple evenings that reminds me just how much I love calling West Virginia home. 🍂🦌🌅

What if we made a little more time to get outside and let our kids be kids? 🌳☀️🪁

I’m thinking about starting Meet Me Outside, a once-a-month outdoor meetup for local kids and their families—all year long!

Think bubble days, kite flying, nature scavenger hunts, creek exploring, sidewalk chalk, fall walks, and snow days! Simple activities that give our kids a chance to play, make friends, and enjoy what we have right here close to home. And a chance for us parents to connect, too! ❤️

I’m planning our first meetup for November, with more details coming soon. For now, I’d love to see who would be interested!

Here it is—our final Halloween stop list for Rainelle! 🎃🍬 Save this flyer for October 31 and share it with someone taking their little trick-or-treaters out!

You DO NOT have to be on this flyer to hand out candy! 🧡 This list simply helps families get a better idea of where to take their trick-or-treaters. There will likely be other homes participating, too, so keep an eye out for those porch lights!

Thank you to everyone who submitted an address and everyone helping make Halloween fun for our community’s kids. Whether you’re handing out candy at home, decorating your trunk, or taking the kids around town, you’re part of what makes the night special. 👻

I am honestly blown away by the turnout for the Meadow River Treat Trek! 🎃🍬

We had at least 175 children join us—and seeing so many families walking the trail, dressed up and enjoying something fun right here at home made every bit of planning worth it.
