Apparently someone has a better social life than I do. 😂🐾

Kaiah living her absolute best life at daycare, making friends, having fun, and looking entirely too pleased with herself.

Meanwhile, I’m over here working so she can maintain this lifestyle. 🤣💛

Anyone else’s dog have a more exciting social calendar than they do?

A little progress update from our acreage! 🌲💪

We’ve been putting in some serious work thinning trees and clearing sections of our property, and it’s finally starting to show!

There’s something incredibly satisfying about looking back at an area you’ve spent hours working on and actually seeing the difference.

Is it exhausting? Absolutely.

Is there still an unbelievable amount of work left to do? Also absolutely. 😂

But this is the kind of work I genuinely enjoy. Being outside, improving our property, and slowly watching everything come together.

One thing I’ve learned about owning acreage is that you really have to enjoy the process, not just the finished product.

And for me, this is the good stuff. 🤎

Everyone wants the beautiful wooded acreage… but have you thought about what it takes to maintain it? 🌲

We’ve been spending a lot of time thinning pines on our property, and it’s one of those things that really puts rural landownership into perspective.

When you’re shopping for wooded acreage, don’t just look at the scenery.

Think about the condition of the trees, wildfire exposure, access for maintenance, vegetation management, and what it could cost to care for the property long-term.

Because owning land isn’t just about what you buy. It’s about what you’re willing and able to maintain.

🏡 Is financing land the same as financing a house?

Not necessarily!

One thing many buyers don’t realize is that purchasing vacant land can involve a very different financing process than purchasing an existing home.

Depending on the property, lenders may have different requirements for:

🌲 Down payments
🌲 Loan terms and interest rates
🌲 Property access and utilities
🌲 Whether the land is improved or unimproved
🌲 What you eventually plan to build on it

And not every lender offers vacant land loans!

This. This is why I love living in the country. 🌾🤎

The quiet evenings, the golden sunsets, the tall grass, and having my best girl right by my side.

There’s always something that needs to be done when you own acreage. The projects never end, the work is never finished, and there’s always another thing to add to the list.

But then there are evenings like this.

When everything slows down, the sun starts setting, and I get to enjoy the little piece of the world we call home.

Wouldn’t trade this life for anything. 🤎
