Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost in the tragic terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. More than 2,000 Americans never had the opportunity to return home to their families, leaving behind loved ones, friends, colleagues, and communities forever changed by that day.
We remember the innocent lives taken, the first responders and brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the countless people whose lives were forever impacted by the events of September 11. We honor their memories not only today, but by continuing to carry their stories forward and never forgetting the profound loss experienced by so many.
May we always remember September 11, 2001, with solemnity, compassion, and respect. We honor those we lost, those who served, and all those who continue to carry the memories of that day.
Never forgotten.
