My name is Zach Kirby, and I would love to help with all your real estate needs. Being a ‘born and bred’ Midlands native, I have an extensive background in most of the communities in and around our states capital city, including Lexington, Chapin, Irmo, Lake Murray, West Columbia, Cayce, Forest Acres, and downtown Columbia. I have spent my entire life in and around the real estate business. The ma

jority of my life experiences that have prepared me for my career in real estate came from working alongside my parents, who have owned and operated an automotive repair business in Irmo for over 35 years. Our family business was built on the principle that “people matter more than profit margins.”

My first and only goal, in every transaction, is to meet the needs of my clients by serving them with honesty, respect, and integrity. After graduating with my bachelors degree in 2016, I took a job as a middle school history teacher and ended up working for both the LexRich5 and the Lex2 school districts. I loved my time in the classroom, but realized quickly that I was called to serve others in the home buying/selling process. I obtained my real estate license in July of 2017 and, after teaching for two more years, left the classroom to become a full time real estate agent in June of 2019. Surprisingly, the tools that I acquired from teaching have transferred well into the real estate world. A large majority of my job in real estate involves educating my clients through the home buying, selling, or investing process. When I’m not working, you can find me serving my local community through my involvement at my church, Midtown Fellowship Church. With our Serve the City initiative, I enjoy giving back to our community through our work with Ezekiel Ministries, Epworth Children’s Home, Prisma Health Children’s Hospital, Transitions (a local homeless ministry), and Home Work’s of America.

His older brother and i have been good friends for over a decade, and Devin used to work for my parent’s auto repair business in Irmo. I feel like I’ve watched this kid grow up! From the annoying little brother to the adult cop, Devin is a great man. He and his fiance, Maddy, are getting married this September and it was time for them to buy their first home! Welcome home to West Columbia’s newest resident, Maddie!! Y’all, sometimes the pieces really do just fall into pieces. This one is such a testament to Gods goodness. Maddie and I go to church together and she came to me a few months back knowing she was ready to stop renting, but that she working with a tight budget. She wanted something that didn’t need much work and needed something close to the school where she works. That’s a tall order in 2026 my friends! After looking at few duds and even a few other townhomes in this same neighborhood where they math didn’t math, we landed this gem! Only a few years old, in great shape, and a whopping three minutes to Maddie’s job. OHHHH, and did I mention that I was able to negotiate the seller paying all of our closing costs AND having them pay to repaint the entire townhome for Maddie!! Welcome home to Irmo’s newest resident, Thomas!!! Thomas works at my closing attorneys office, and has become a friend over the last couple of years. The man knew what he wanted. Something big, close to work, and space to entertain. Did we hit the JACKPOT! Thomas landed a great house on a quiet dead end street in a neighborhood I’ve worked in before. Welcome home to Columbia’s newest resident, Sarah!! I like to call this one a quadruple whammy. The seller of this cute lil bungalow was referred to me by a past client and Sarah, my buyer, was also referred to me by a past client. I never take it for granted when a friend or past client trusts me with their referrals. It’s truly one of the biggest honors in the real estate profession. 2025 gave me a whole lot to be thankful for!

I got to take a cruise with my mom and my twin. Our family welcomed the birth of my newest nephew, Shepherd. I saw half a dozen clients welcome new little ones into their families. I became the Vice President of my neighborhoods HOA. My coffee shop had a record setting year by selling ver 156,000 cups of coffee!

I also got to sell a ton of houses (60 to be precise!) AND, to top it all off, I got to be hands on in helping people build lasting communities that they want to be a part of. Pinch me, I must be dreaming!

Come at me 2026, because I’m ready for ya!
