Wow, I love the story
Denise I bet you do too

During the filming of Yellowstone, one of Kevin Costner’s most emotional moments came when he had to say goodbye to his trusted horse, a companion that had been by his side for many seasons. The bond between them had grown deep, as the horse wasn’t just part of the show, but part of his journey as John Dutton.

With tears in his eyes, Kevin whispered, “You’ve been with me through thick and thin. I’ll never forget the moments we had.” For him, this was more than a farewell to an animal. It was saying goodbye to a partner who had carried both him and his character through the heart of the story.

After Kevin left, the horse began to act strange. He refused his food, paced back and forth in his stall, and pinned his ears when others tried to approach. Normally calm and steady, he now stood with his head low, eyes dull, as if he had lost his spark. The crew noticed the change and told Kevin, who quietly returned. He stood beside the horse, stroked his mane, and softly said, “We’re gonna be okay.”

The horse leaned into him and soon started eating again. Day by day, he returned to his old self. Their bond was not just part of the show. It was real, built on trust, and it went deeper than words.
