What a week! 🙌
We kicked things off at the cocktail party at the new OBC Kitchen in Turner Commons, a great way to start the week!

Then I headed to Covington for the Kentucky Realtors Fall Meeting. I came away with lots of great info and new connections, and we wrapped it all up with a celebration featuring our very own local band, Honeychild! 🎶

Back home, I followed up on a new construction home from Ball Homes for some of my buyers, and it’s a beautiful home! 🏡

Chili at home with a Kentucky Football win? Yes, please! 💙

We finished the weekend with church King City Church and Sunday lunch at Drake's Leestown.

Lexington is putting on a free Dolly Day concert on September 25, and the whole thing is built around her songs.

Moondance Amphitheater on Monarch Street, seven o'clock. Parks and Recreation is running it. Local musicians play her catalog, there are food and drink vendors, and they are asking people to show up in Dolly-inspired sparkle.

Donations go to the Imagination Library.

That makes three cities on that date with something real going on. Nashville is setting off fireworks at 9:25 and playing "9 to 5" at five o'clock everywhere at once. New Orleans is running a parade out of Armstrong Park.

Kentucky is just going to sing.

What a week it’s been! 🏡

We started things off with a relaxing Labor Day holiday, followed that night by the sweetest surprise — a visit from our grand-dog Hazel, a rescue pup with the biggest personality!

Midweek brought a beautiful closing at 203 Stonegate — congratulations to our client as she heads off to fulfill her life’s dream. So happy for her!

Thursday was a big one: at our sales meeting, we celebrated Lauren Lewis as our CIRE award winner for August — way to go, Lauren! 👏 That evening, we celebrated a different kind of win at the Realtor Community Housing Foundation Gala — always one of our favorite nights of the year.

Saturday was all about last-minute errands, and now I’m in Chicago for the Christie’s International Real Estate conference — excited to connect with lots of agents and bring home fresh ideas and inspiration!

Wait... you thought I stopped selling real estate? 😊

“I didn’t realize you were still selling real estate!” I’ve heard that a lot lately, and I get it — being broker keeps me busy behind the scenes too. But while I absolutely love being a broker to our fabulous agents, real estate is still very much what I do, and both are still very much what I love. 🙏

I’m endlessly grateful for the clients who’ve trusted me time and time again, and for landing in the Top 5 producers a few times this year — none of it happens without you.

To be on this board alongside such incredible agents is very humbling — I’m just grateful to be counted among them.

💛 A Thank You Long Overdue 💛

20 years ago, when I was still in insurance, Laura Beatty Allen agreed to serve as my Education Chair during my presidential year — and she told me she “wouldn’t do it for anyone but me.” That’s just who she is.

Over the years, she moved up in her corporate position and moved to another state. However, when her job brought her back to Kentucky, that same giving spirit followed her into my real estate career. In 2014, a year after I started my real estate career, she called me to help find her and her family a new home. I was so humbled she trusted me with that. Since then, she’s referred or entrusted me with 11 transactions and has been my #1 repeat client and referral source for over a decade.

But the transactions were never really the point. It’s the trust, the encouragement, and the friendship behind every single one of them.

This is why I love what I do. It’s not just a job — it’s walking alongside people through every phase of their lives and getting to be part of each new chapter with them.

As she and Ron begin an exciting new chapter of their own, I just wanted to pause and say: thank you. Thank you for believing in me from the very beginning and for every referral, every kind word, and every vote of confidence along the way. I wouldn’t be where I am without you. 💛

Another full week in the books!🥰

This one kicked off with a visit to a fantastic new listing of Rachel Underwood | Realtor® and Rusty Underwood on Frankfort Rd. In Georgetown — where I got to see one of their four resident peacocks strutting around (still not over that). Add then had a surprise mid week visit from my grand-dog Hazel it’s a perfect surprise. 🦚🐾

Thursday brought the start of the “Lead Where You Live” candidate training program with commerce.lex — two days of learning how our local and state government really works, and a great reminder of how many wonderful leaders we have serving our community.

In between, I still made time for a dip at Spindletop Hall, dinner with friends at Rodney’s on Broadway on broadwayRodney’s in Georgetown, and that evening was Carinoke at Slainte Public House to benefit CARIN FOR NURSES

Sunday started slow and quiet at home before church, followed by a block party at King City Church followed by more pool time, and a country drive to soak up the weather — before heading home to let Hazel snuggle up with me on the sofa.

And through it all, I kept coming back to something Dolly Parton said that’s stuck with me since her passing: don’t get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life. This week, I did both.

Another full week in the books — and this one had a pretty exciting start! 💙✨

Monday brought the Bluegrass Association of Realtors election results, and I’m so excited and grateful to have been elected Treasurer! I’m looking forward to continuing to serve our members and getting to work in this new role come January.

The rest of the week didn’t slow down… showing my new listing in Paris a couple of times, a few lap snuggles from my grand-dog Hazel 🐾, and dinner with friends celebrating the 30th anniversary of one of our local favorites, Bella Notte•Italian Trattoria 🍝

Then came two of my favorite annual events — the 2026 Ball Homes Gold Key Breakfast at the absolutely beautiful Donamire Farm and the RPAC Picnic & PAC fundraiser at the always-inviting Mundy Farm.

Saturday morning started with a pedicure at the always-stellar NOIR NAILS Noir before a busy weekend that included the Ball Homes Family Picnic and some much-needed R&R on Lake Cumberland with phenomenal hosts. ☀️🚤

A week full of real estate, service, celebrations, friends, family and a little fun mixed in.
