Change is the Only Constant
The only constant in life is change, and the changes over the past 30 days have been constant. How we communicate, how we get our food, how we interact with each other, how we spend our time as well as who we spend our time with. Some are angry about the choices or lack of choices we have been given, while others are discovering a new lifestyle they are embracing.
What is the new normal? It’s different for each of us, but for many, the new normal is a slower pace, more time with family members, more time to read a book, more time to notice the flower blooming in the spring and a desire to commit to a healthier lifestyle. We value health and the health of those we love. We have learned that teachers are underpaid and that truck drivers keep the world moving forward. We have a new appreciation of those who risk becoming ill to care for those in need.
Now is the time to stay connected with those you love and to treasure those relationships. When you have friends, family, siblings and neighbors that you can chat with, laugh with, talk to and share with, you are among the richest in the world.
Something to Think About
In this time of constant change, don’t forget to care for yourself: your physical self and your emotional self.
Weekly Activity
Remember to thank those who continue to serve during a time of great risk: Our first responders, our health care workers, our food workers, those who deliver food and supplies and the truck drivers who keep America moving.
