Homes are taking a little longer to sell, giving buyers more breathing room in today’s market. In March, homes spent an average of 62 days on the market, the longest in over 6 years and up 9% from both last year and the previous month. Median days on market also climbed to 33 days, up from 25 days a year ago.

Meanwhile, interest rates ticked up slightly to 6.18% in March. While rates remain lower than last year’s average of 6.65%, they’ve been fluctuating in recent weeks. The Fed has indicated rates could dip below 6% later this year depending on inflation and global conditions.
