REAL buys REMAX…….
With the recent announcement of brokerage consolidation, I keep coming back to what should be the most important question we ask as professionals—and as fiduciaries: how does this actually help our buyers and sellers?
Right now, I’m not seeing a clear answer.
What I do see is continued consolidation—large companies getting even larger—and historically, that kind of shift tends to reshape the industry in ways that doesn’t always prioritize the client.
There’s already talk and movement toward private listings, something we saw decades ago. That raises real concerns.
It didn’t work well, listing agreements were for 12 months and you hoped someone saw the sign or that the mailer actually made it in front of a buyer….not straight to file 13.
Buyers or buyers agents would have to call the listing office/agent to see the home. Many times the listing agent…..wasn’t very helpful and the sellers and buyers would be very frustrated. It wasn’t easy. (I started as an agent during this period of time)
Sellers could lose the level of exposure that comes with public listings, and buyers may find themselves with fewer opportunities and less guidance—ultimately navigating a more limited, less transparent market.
This is exactly where working with a smaller, boutique brokerage-like Anchor and Bloom Realty- can make a difference.
Personalized service, strong advocacy, and a true client-first approach aren’t just talking points—they’re essential, especially in times of change.
It also matters who you choose as your agent.
I’m focused on helping my clients successfully buy or sell their home—not on recruiting more agents to drive profits for a large corporation. (Which is a requirement for most agencies)
My priority is, and always will be, the people I represent.
I’ll continue to show up for my clients the best way I know how, while also watching closely to see how all of this unfolds.
Reach out if you have questions or are ready to buy and or sell!!
I’m here to help!
