Is Zillow your favorite place to search for homes? Things may look a little different right now. šØ
MRED has suspended Zillowās access to its listing data after Zillow refused to resolve a dispute over how certain listings were being displayed on Zillow and Trulia.
According to MRED, the issue started with only 9 listings, but the result impacts more than 43,000 listings across the MRED system.
For context, MRED is the MLS system many real estate agents use across the Chicagoland area to list, share, and access homes for sale.
The good news: homes are still being marketed. Listings are still being shared across other real estate websites, brokerage platforms, agent networks, and MLS systems.
This is an important reminder that Zillow is just one website, not the full real estate market.
If youāre buying or selling, connect with a local real estate agent to make sure you have the most accurate information, the best resources, and that your home is being marketed correctly.
