When I first stepped into real estate, breaking into the luxury market felt like a distant dream. Building my career across Illinois and Florida meant learning new rules, new markets, and constantly stretching myself. There were moments of doubt, long weekends on flights, and quiet sacrifices no one ever saw.

Along the way, I learned something powerful: I was more capable than I ever gave myself credit for.

Today, I closed my luxury listing in Florida in one of the toughest buyer’s markets we’ve seen. My sellers trusted me during a challenging time, and I carried that responsibility with everything I had.

What makes this moment even more special is that today is my grandmother’s birthday. She taught me the meaning of hard work, faith, and serving others. Her voice is still with me. Her lessons still guide me. And I know she’s smiling today.

A client recently reached out as their lease was nearing its end and they were unsure whether continuing to rent or exploring homeownership made more sense.

We started by reviewing options and connecting with a lender to understand the numbers and overall buying power. Once that foundation was in place, the process moved forward smoothly and with confidence.

After beginning the home search, the client is now under contract and scheduled to close before the lease expires, creating a seamless transition with no gap in housing.

This is a great example of how early planning and clear information can lead to strong outcomes, even when timelines feel tight.

Not to nitpick but...

There are a few things I obsess over when touring a home.

It might take a few extra minutes, but being thorough protects my clients down the road.

Some issues are obvious. Others take a trained eye and a few years of experience.

When we’re house-hunting, I’m weighing details, comparing options, and spotting what we can leverage — from natural light and storage to basement condition and mechanical systems.

Whether it’s a vintage bungalow in the suburbs or a loft in the West Loop, those small observations add up.
