From NAR news. "Home buyers seem to be getting over the shock of mortgage rates in the mid- to upper-6% range. The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.72% this week, Freddie Mac reports. Despite the Federal Reserve’s recent rate cuts, that average has held steady.

Still, existing-home sales in November were up about 6% year over year, NAR reported Thursday. “Consumers may no longer be expecting the 3% to 4% mortgage rates from the COVID days,” Lawrence Yun, chief economist of the National Association of REALTORS®, said in a conference call Thursday announcing the latest uptick in existing-home sales. “With mortgage rates mostly stable … more homes available for sale … and job creation up, this is pushing home sales higher.”"

With this weather it's not to hard to believe that the spring market is right around the corner. Soon the market will start picking up, rates are down some and some still have to sell and some still want the American dream of owning their own home. It would be my pleasure to assist in anyway I can. Just let me know, I'm ready how about you all?!

Some welcome news from the NAR. "The average rate for the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage dialed back to 6.69% this week, falling from 6.81% the previous week, Freddie Mac reported Thursday. It marks the lowest average in more than a month, and the drop was enough to push up mortgage application activity, a gauge of homebuying activity."

From the NAR magazine.
"Broker’s Over-the-Top Holiday Display Benefits Charity
California real estate pro Michael Pasqualino’s supersized decorations attract tens of thousands of visitors each year to marvel at his front doorstep—and donate to good causes.

California broker Michael Pasqualino's home in Orange County is covered with 70,000 holiday lights.
Few people do Christmas decorations on the scale of Michael Pasqualino’s.

Each year, Pasqualino, broker-owner of Door Finder Real Estate in Tustin, Calif., and his family awash their home in about 65,000 holiday lights. And they do it not just to spread holiday cheer to the community—Pasqualino’s house attracts 30,000 to 40,000 looky-loos annually—but also to raise money for many charitable causes over the years.

This year, Pasqualino’s family is collecting funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital."
