For 30 years, I have worked in Lake County real estate along Chicago's North Shore helping clients and corporate relocation buy, sell, stage, and improve their homes. Much of my work with Sellers is during the weeks and months before the first showing. In addition to reviewing comparable home sales history, I help clients see their homes from a buyer's point of view. I am fairly hands-on as we rea

rrange furniture and accessorize, often without spending money. The Before & After photos are amazing. I also advise on what items to store or toss and refer contacts for repairs, painting, carpeting, and house cleaning. Depending on how long a seller has lived in a home, several visits may be made and the “to-do” list is re-prioritized. My goal with Buyers has always been to make a “Smart Buy”. To find a home with a good location that needs little work but offers the best resale. Over the last few years, my transferees with Abbott Labs, Kraft Heinz, or AbbVie have been even quicker to make improvements and repairs, sometimes before they move in, so they can enjoy the changes sooner.
