2022 Will Not Be a Repeat of 2008
To better understand the current real estate market, it helps to compare today to the most recent housing crisis: the 2008 recession. At that time, the market was in free fall due to a number of factors, including:
A lack of jobs and income
The over-valuation of homes
The subprime mortgage crisis
The burst of the housing bubble
Despite gloomy headlines, the real estate market is stronger than it was a decade ago and shows continued resiliency.
