In spite of Covid, the real estate market is hot, hot, hot! People buying sight-unseen or, as they arrive on the island, looking for property. Some have a lot of cash and go for short closings. Best plan, if you're looking to buy right now is to get PRE-APPROVED for a mortgage (if you'll need one), contact an agent to work for you (and of course, we think WaiOli is the best place to find an agent and team to serve you! 3rd--be honest with your agent in what you want--this is a team effort. You may not know completely what you want until you see it. 4th When you find it, leap fast! Many sales are full price or above, something that's hard to adjust to if you're used to former times when "low-ball" offers were common. Those don't work now. See you soon. WaiOli is in a growth stage now under Broker-in-Charge Lori Benkert. We've added two fine agents, giving the company a total of five agents.
Not only that, but we have a great new office right on Rice Street in Lihue, the old location of City Liquor. With the improvements to Rice Street, making it more of a "walking" street, we'll be right in the middle of the action.
