When Denise Porter and Susie Groves announced their retirements, everyone’s first thought was “WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE WE GOING TO DO?!?” A search was launched, and candidates were vetted and interviewed, and now we are delighted to announce that the Board has selected Elaine Harris to be our new Activities Director.

She began work this morning, so she will be busily soaking in as much of Denise’s wealth of Spanish Cove knowledge as she can before Denise heads off into her and Rich’s happy retirement on May 31st.

She has lots of experience planning activities and trips as an Activities Coordinator for her previous neighborhood in South Carolina. And as a retired elementary school teacher, you know she can easily organize people and events and make sure everyone is having a great time.

You’ll see her around the CCH as you go to your classes and activities, so be sure to give her a warm welcome - and a little bit of grace - as she settles into this new position.

If you’re a Cove property owner and you aren’t seeing our Friday livestreams, here’s how to join:

Tap up at the top of this post where it says Spanish Cove. Then look for the button that reads “Visit Group.” If you aren’t already a member, it will ask you for some information. It’s very important that you fill it all out - you must answer the lot/address question! Once you’re verified by the Office, you’ll be able to see all the posts that are just for Cove owners.

Lots going on over there - if you’re an owner, you’ll want to be a part!
