The Lima Fire Department has been contacted by a local hotel offering a warm place for anyone in need during these sub zero temperatures. The Holiday Inn located at 803 S Leonard Avenue is providing a warming station that is open to the public.

Please remember to limit time spent outdoors as much as possible during these extreme weather conditions. If you must go outside, dress appropriately and be sure to cover all exposed skin.

We also want to thank people who pull over to help at an accident scene to run to help those involved, the neighbors who step in when someone’s in need — you remind us that bravery isn’t a job title, it’s a choice.
