VA appraisal rules are changing May 1…

For years, some of the biggest headaches with VA deals had nothing to do with the buyer or the house. It was the extra appraisal conditions… the kind that made sellers nervous, agents frustrated, and slowed everything down.

That’s about to change.

Starting May 1, the VA is rolling back a handful of those requirements:

* No more peeling paint repairs on homes built after 1978
* No more issues with sheds and outbuildings
* Builders won’t need to deal with radon requirements
* And no more fireplace / oxygen depletion sensor certifications

In short… less friction, more common sense, and smoother closings.

VA financing has always been one of the best programs out there — zero down, competitive rates, and earned by those who served. The benefit was never the issue… the process just needed to catch up a bit.

Thanksgiving Drive for Limington

We encourage you to message us to sign up for a free meal or item:

- If you are going without a Thanksgiving Meal
- If you are missing items from your Thanksgiving Meal
- If you are one of 170,000 Mainers losing your SNAP benefits this week
- If you are unable to shop for yourself (Contact us for Drop Off at Home)
- If you are struggling and have unexpected financial difficulties this Holiday season
- If you cannot afford or do not know if you will be able to afford your Thanksgiving Meal

If you do not have the means or a stove, and cannot cook a Thanksgiving Meal for yourself, please let us know and we would be happy to give a prepared cooked meal to reheat.

Requirements:
1. Resident of Limington (if we can help more, we will try)
2. Must be able to Pick Up during the Pickup Times/Days unless we arrange a Drop Off at Home
3. One application per household to streamline applications. Please talk with your family first to avoid double sign-ups
4. Food Allergies CAN NOT be accommodated due to this being free and arranged by only three people on hand

Donations Needed by those who are in the position to give this Holiday season:
Stuffing Mix
Potatoes and Gravy
Canned Vegetables
Cranberry Sauce
Turkeys
Pies and Cookies

If you would like to send a donation to cover items, or make a cash donation, we will be accepting those to a certain point where the need it met. Please message us for a payment link.
