P. Makinler Building Group is excited to be part of bringing EPIC Pickleball to Lincoln — transforming a familiar local space into what will be Lincoln’s largest indoor pickleball destination!

For years, this building was home to Speedway, Lincoln’s longtime indoor basketball facility. Thousands of kids have laced up their sneakers, competed on its courts, made memories, and fallen in love with the game of basketball — including our own!

The new EPIC Pickleball facility will feature:
🏓 15 premium indoor courts, a pro shop, a mezzanine lounge with self-pour beverages and space to relax.

THE ATRIUM PROJECT | LINCOLN, NE 🏗️

We’re excited to be part of the next chapter for one of downtown Lincoln’s historic landmarks — bringing new life and functionality to The Atrium Building.

Originally built in 1918 as the Rudge & Guenzel Building, this seven-story building has been a part of Lincoln for more than a century. Today, we’re helping transform the space while preserving the character and history that make it unique.

Our scope of work includes renovation of the main entrance and lobby, updating the former space that held escalators, new locker room facilities and a basement gym, along with additional interior improvements throughout the building.

From demolition and prep work to construction and finish work, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes to transform these spaces.

We’re proud to be part of the continued evolution of this Lincoln landmark and to have our team on the ground bringing the vision to life!

Today, we’re proud to celebrate Landen’s one-year anniversary with our team as a Construction Field Superintendent.

Over the past year, Landen has proven to be so much more than a superintendent. He has been a leader, problem solver, communicator, facilitator, and trusted partner on every project he touches. From coordinating schedules and managing subcontractors to ensuring quality workmanship and keeping projects moving forward, Landen plays a critical role in our success every single day.

His responsibilities extend far beyond the jobsite. He serves as the bridge between project management, field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and clients, ensuring everyone is aligned and working toward the same goal. Whether it’s addressing unforeseen challenges, maintaining safety standards, tracking project progress, managing deadlines, or finding solutions under pressure, Landen consistently rises to the occasion with professionalism and dedication.

One of the qualities we appreciate most is his ability to build strong relationships with our subcontractors and project partners. His respect for others, attention to detail, and commitment to getting the job done right have earned the trust of everyone he works alongside.

The construction industry demands adaptability, accountability, and leadership, and Landen embodies all three. His hard work and commitment help drive successful outcomes for our clients and contribute greatly to the culture and reputation of our company.

Landen, thank you for everything you have contributed over the last year. We appreciate your dedication, your willingness to tackle every challenge head-on, and the pride you take in your work. We are grateful to have you on our team and look forward to many more successful projects together.

Congratulations on your one-year anniversary, Landen, and thank you for all that you do! 👏🏗️🎉
