One of the best parts of what we do at Giving Realty is seeing clients use their closing to make an impact in our community through local nonprofits they care deeply about. This time, their clients chose to support two incredible organizations in Lincoln:

❤️ RISE
RISE is one of Nebraska’s leading nonprofits focused on helping break the generational cycle of incarceration through prison programming, reentry support, mentorship, job readiness, and family support. Their mission is simple but powerful: helping people rebuild their lives and create better futures for themselves and their families.

Founded right here in Nebraska, RISE works both inside correctional facilities and alongside individuals after release, helping provide support systems, opportunities, and hope where it’s desperately needed. Community members can get involved by volunteering, mentoring, attending events, advocating, or donating to support their reentry and family programs.

💙 No Footprint Too Small
No Footprint Too Small, NonProfit is a Lincoln-based nonprofit founded in 2016 that provides compassionate support to families experiencing miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss. Their mission is to walk alongside grieving parents and families with practical support, bereavement services, care packages, support groups, and resources during unimaginable loss.

The organization was created after founder Jolie Vega recognized the gap in support available to families navigating pregnancy and infant loss. Since then, they’ve served hundreds of families across Nebraska and beyond. People can support their mission through donations, volunteering, attending fundraising events, or simply helping spread awareness about the support they provide.

What a week. 🏡❤️

Some incredible homes closed, some amazing stories came full circle, and once again we were reminded why we love what we do so much.

One of the best parts of being part of Giving Realty is watching our clients choose causes that matter deeply to them. Because with every closing, 10% of our commission goes to a local nonprofit of their choice.

This past week, our clients selected three incredible organizations:

❤️ Foster Heart + Hope
An Omaha nonprofit serving children and families impacted by foster care by providing basic needs, opportunities, and community support so kids feel confident, empowered, and valued. They’ve continued expanding their impact through programs like their boutique, arts initiatives, and future job readiness opportunities for foster youth. People can support them through donations, volunteering, shopping their community boutique, or providing supplies for foster families.

🦒 Lincoln Children's Zoo
A place so many Nebraska families have grown up loving. The Zoo has continued expanding its mission of education, conservation, and hands-on animal experiences through one of the largest expansions in its history, adding world-class habitats and interactive learning experiences while continuing conservation efforts for endangered species. You can support them through memberships, donations, volunteering, attending events, or simply bringing your family to experience the Zoo.

🎗️ Blood Cancer United - Nebraska
For decades, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has been one of the leading organizations funding blood cancer research while also supporting patients and families navigating incredibly difficult diagnoses. Their work includes advancing treatments, patient advocacy, financial support resources, and groundbreaking research aimed at creating longer, healthier lives for blood cancer patients. People can get involved through fundraising events, volunteering, advocacy, and direct giving.

It’s been a while since we’ve shared the story behind Giving Realty, and with all the growth and changes over the years, this felt like a good time 🤍

We actually made this video four years ago and somehow never got around to sharing it. Watching it now still feels so true to who we are and what we care about.

Giving Realty was built on the belief that real estate could be about more than just transactions. More community. More generosity. More relationships. More purpose.

And honestly, one of the best parts of all of this has been the people. We genuinely love this crew of realtors and the heart they bring to serving clients and communities across Nebraska every single day.

Another big week of closings for Matt & Holly with the Matt Kirkland Group at Giving Realty 🤍

We’re so excited for their clients and grateful for the opportunity to celebrate not only these homes, but the incredible nonprofits chosen for their Giving Realty donations.

🐾 One donation went to Haven Animal Rescue Nebraska — a foster-based, all-volunteer rescue devoted to rescuing and rehoming abandoned, neglected, and homeless dogs and cats across Nebraska. Their mission is centered around providing medical care, rehabilitation, socialization, and ultimately finding the best possible forever homes for animals in need. People can support their work through fostering, volunteering, adopting, donating, or helping spread awareness about adoptable animals.

🎾 Another donation went to Woods Tennis Center -- one of Lincoln’s longest-standing public tennis facilities serving the community since 1985. Their mission focuses on “taking the game to the community” through accessible tennis and educational programming for all ages and skill levels. They continue to make tennis approachable and community-centered through lessons, leagues, youth development, and public programming. People can get involved by participating in leagues and classes, supporting programming, or introducing new players to the sport.

🍽️ Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach – serving the Lincoln community for decades by providing daily meals, addiction recovery support, housing assistance, and outreach services to those experiencing hunger and homelessness.

⚖️ Center for Legal Immigration Assistance – offering affordable and pro bono legal services to immigrants and refugees, helping families navigate complex systems and stay together while building stable futures.
