Last Friday, we celebrated WWII veteran Andy Meyerle’s 107th birthday and his dedicated service in the Army Air Corps! 🎂

Officers from USSTRATCOM—including COL Scott Smith, SGT Terrell Sweeney, SSG Christopher Freres, SFC Ray Bahr, Lt Col Clint Fore, TSgt Lakia Bonack, and TSgt Edward Coddington—honored him with a service medallion and sang their branch songs. 🎖️

Joined by family from Kansas and Minnesota, Andy shared stories with the team, noting that military life was a welcome change from his experiences on the farm during the Great Depression. It was an unforgettable day celebrating an incredible American hero! 🇺🇸✈️

For our Sunlight Senior Care presentation with Todd and Katrese, we did a travelogue of Colorado in our Husker Lounge! We learned the Top Ten Facts of Colorado and visited our sister communities of Parkside Village Retirement Resort, Sky Pointe Retirement Resort, and Aspen Trail Retirement Resort.

It was great to learn the history of Aurora, Littleton, and Colorado Springs, and to place another Travel Sticker in our Passports.
