U.S. existing-home sales declined 2.4% from the previous month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.09 million units, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
In Lincoln, we were down 7.8% compared to June 2026. While inventory nationwide increased about 12%, Lincoln is up 4%
Nationally, the median existing-home price hit a new record of $440,600, a 1.8% increase from a year earlier. Lincoln remains an affordable option, keeping the median home price at $315,000 – 40% lower than the national median home price!

Be careful out there this week!

Heat Alert ☀️ Enjoy the weather today because things are about to change. US National Weather Service Omaha/Valley Nebraska has issued a heat advisory for Lincoln and Lancaster County from 1 p.m. Sunday, June 28 until 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 30. Heat index values up to 105 are expected.

Hot temperatures and high humidity increase the risk of heat-related illnesses. Take precautions to stay safe in extreme heat and closely monitor weather conditions as temperatures rise.

💧 Drink plenty of water.
👕 Wear loose, light-colored clothing and put on sunscreen when outside.
🔶 Limit outdoor activity to coolest parts of the day or evening.

🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked car.
✔️ Check on family, friends, neighbors and pets.
❄️ Find air-conditioned places to cool off. During regular business hours, all Lincoln City Libraries, Lincoln Parks and Recreation centers are available as cooling centers. Victory Park Senior Center is also available.
