Every year at Torchbearers, the marketing team walks around with a camera asking one simple question:
“What is a Torchbearer?”
And every year, I laugh and find some way to dodge it. 😂
It isn’t because I don’t care. It’s because I care so much that I’ve never figured out how to answer without getting a little choked up.
So, here’s my answer.
Every year, I leave with pages of notes, new ideas, and a list of things I want to do better. The notes make me a better agent. The people make me a better human.
Torchbearers is made up of some of REMAX’s top agents under 40 from across the U.S. and Canada. From the outside, you might expect a room full of competition.
It’s the exact opposite.
It’s a room full of generosity.
These people share ideas, systems, and lessons they’ve spent years building. They answer late-night phone calls. They celebrate each other’s wins without jealousy. They ask the hard questions. They hold me accountable. They see potential in me during the moments I struggle to see it in myself.
With this group, I get to show up as my full self. Loud. Quiet. Confident. Unsure. A little all over the place. 😂 It all fits. And that is rare for me.
They’ve made me a better agent, a better business owner, a better mom, a better friend, and a better coparent.
This Torchbearer family has changed my life in ways many of them will never fully know.
To everyone who has shared an idea, answered a phone call, challenged me, encouraged me, celebrated with me, or simply showed up, thank you. I love and appreciate you more than I know how to put into words in front of the korporate kamera . 💕
