🏡 **THE REAL LIFE OF A REAL ESTATE AGENT**

I want to start sharing more of the real side of real estate not just the “Just Listed,” “Under Contract” and “SOLD” posts.

I have a seller whose home has now been under contract **twice**.

Both times we went through the process, made it through inspections, handled everything that came along the way and made it **all the way to the appraisal**.

And both times, the buyer unexpectedly lost their job.

Weeks of work went into each transaction phone calls, paperwork, inspections, negotiations, appointments, problem solving and keeping everything moving toward closing.

Then suddenly, because of something completely outside of our control, we were back to square one.

Something a lot of people don't realize about real estate is that agents don't get paid for the hours they put into a transaction if it doesn't close. We simply start over and keep working for our client.

But honestly, the hardest part is having to make that phone call to your seller and tell them that after everything they've been through, their home isn't going to close.

Sometimes you can do everything right and things still happen that no seller, buyer or agent can control.

**It doesn't mean your agent didn't do their job. Sometimes life just happens.**
