39 years since I last hugged my kindergarten buddy. We hugged and picked up talking like no time had passed—just like our phone calls. From kindergarten through graduation, we did school together. Life has been hard, but our bond will never break. Some bonds simply can’t be broken. 🤍

I’m not going to address the horrific meme posted by our president yesterday.
Instead, I want to explain why protesting matters. I was born in 1969 (yes, I know) — and these are rights people protested for on my behalf

1. Becky can have a bank & savings account on her own.
2. Becky can have a credit card on her own.
3. Becky can’t be fired for being pregnant.
4. Becky can’t be r***d by her husband — because NOW it’s illegal.
5. Becky can compete in sports.
6. Becky’s husband can’t beat her — because NOW it’s illegal.
7. Becky can get the same education at federally funded schools.
8. Becky can file a restraining order.
9. Becky has equal workplace healthcare benefits.
10. Becky can serve on a jury.

God calls us to love others even when it’s hard, even when we don’t like them. And He calls us to go after the one — to carry the lost, the hurting, the forgotten to the feet of Jesus.
