Progress check on one of our borrowers' flips, and I had two helpers this time. The stuffed elephant inspected every room.
When I can, I bring the kids along on site visits. It's some of the best teaching I do. They see that a house doesn't fix itself, and that somebody has to find the deal, take the risk, and do the ugly part. They ask real questions, like why the cabinets came out if they still worked and how much all of it costs.
The kitchen, full bath, and half bath are down to the studs. Goodbye, floral wallpaper border. Can't wait to see the finished product.
Do you bring your kids into your work? What have they picked up from it?
