FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL AT LAKE ROOSEVELT — NO EXCEPTIONS
Fireworks are NEVER allowed at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area — and this year the stakes are higher than ever.
A full fire ban is already in effect
Washington State has declared a drought emergency for ALL watersheds due to record low snowpack
Both the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and the Spokane Tribe of Indians have banned the sale and use of all fireworks on tribal lands.
The fire and fireworks ban include both tribal and NPS shorelines.
The numbers don't lie:
• 85% of Washington wildfires are human-caused
• 271 fireworks-ignited fires burned over the 4th of July weekend in 2024 alone
There is nowhere legal to buy or set off fireworks at Lake Roosevelt. Don't risk it.
