Hello East Lake Residents,

Many of you saw the numerous fire trucks at the complex tonight. Management has received numerous calls and we have secured the scene.

We almost had a fire tonight.

Someone left an unattended lit candle burning in their apartment. An alert resident (Thank You!) called. Thank you Joe (Century Emergency Maintenance Crew) and the Lincoln Fire Department for entering the apartment on an emergency basis and putting out a quickly escalating dangerous situation.

As a reminder, these are community buildings. We expect residents to act in a safe manner for the benefit of all.

Anyhow, the situation is under control and back to normal.

Thanks for your time. Everyone give a big shout out to the resident looking out for the safety of others. Your quick actions made a difference. We are grateful for a caring group of people at East Lake.
