Since mice are most active right now, we want to give a quick shout out to our exclusion team! 🖤

Exclusion is the detailed sealing work most people never see, but it's what keeps homes rodent free long term, beyond your typical baiting & trapping.

Pictured is Joe handling some of the roof work on this job, sealing vents so rodents can't get into the attic. Blake (not pictured) worked this one with him & snapped these photos.

Hearing scratching in the walls or ceiling? Call 630-901-3261 or visit mibpestcontrol.com to set up an exclusion inspection with a member of the team today. 🏠🐭

If you can fit a pencil through it, a mouse can fit through it. 📝🐭

Our exclusion team tracks down the small gaps most people never notice & seals them.

🚨HEADS UP TO OUR FRIENDS IN FLORIDA & ANYONE HEADING SOUTH FOR THE WINTER 🚨

Pasco, Hillsborough & Pinellas counties have all declared a state of emergency over dengue fever. Florida is now up to 392 locally transmitted cases this year, mostly in the Tampa Bay area, & sadly one death, the state's first from dengue in a century.

Dengue spreads through the bite of an infected mosquito. It may not kill you, but there's a reason they call it "break-bone fever." Think high fever, headache, rash & intense muscle & joint pain.

Protect yourself with the 3 D's:
-Dress - long sleeves, long pants & closed-toe shoes when you're outside.
-Defend - use an EPA-registered repellent with DEET
-Dump - empty or cover standing water in buckets, flowerpots & birdbaths at least once a week.

If you start feeling symptoms after spending time down there, call your doctor & let them know where you've been.

Stay safe out there!

As the temperatures drop, mice start looking for somewhere warm to spend the winter. A mouse can squeeze through a gap the size of a dime, so garages, basements & sheds (like this little guy's hideout) are prime real estate this time of year.

A few signs you may already have company:
-Droppings along baseboards, in cabinets or near food
-Chewed boxes, bags or insulation
-Scratching sounds in walls or ceilings at night
-Nesting material like shredded paper or fabric

Our approach starts with a full inside & outside inspection to find how they're getting in. From there we set bait & traps where there's activity, install exterior stations to stop new visitors before they make it inside, & can quote sealing up those entry points for good.

Don't wait until you hear them in the walls - call 630-901-3261 or send us a message at mibpestcontrol.com! 🐭🍂
