What’s Up, Mesa?
Through the combined efforts of ASU Mix Center, Sun Devils Athletics, and the City of Mesa every Sun Devil Football game will be broadcast on a large format outdoor screen. Fans of all ages will be able to Fans of all ages will be able to gather and watch the games in downtown Mewa.
The season long effort put on by these entities will include three expanded watch parties for the games September 19 against Kansas. The game will be played in Wembley Stadium in London, England. October 17th for the game at Texas Tech, and the rivalry, Territorial Cup game at Arizona on November 28.
The three featured games will include additional special activities which will be announced closer to the featured game dates.

In the past we thought of younger people making their first investment in a family home they would keep and grow out of it.
Before the Great Recession, roughly 40% of primary-residence buyers were first-timers. Today that share has been cut nearly in half.

Pinal County is exploding. Much of Pinal County is adjacent to Maricopa County away from the metro area of Phoenix. It is very popular with snowbirds, but is increasing growing for year round inhabitants.

The Women's NCAA Final Four is in Phoenix this weekend. the weather makes it a great time to get out and explore downtown Phoenix. We are predicted to have beautiful weather this weekend as well.

East Valley happenings are gearing up starting this weekend. The annual Arizona Renaissance Festival starts tomorrow, January 31 and runs every Saturday and Sunday thru March 29 in Gold Canyon.
In Mesa The Asian Festival will be held at Mesa Community College Saturday. Saturday’s Farmers Market and hiking at Usery Mountain will be happening as usual.
Chandler’s International Film Festival isgoing on a various theatres on Saturday. Barleen’s Variety Dinner shows are happening in Apache Junction.
Visit any of these venues and have a great time.

You have heard me speak of the East Valley, but you may not know exactly what I’m talking about especially if you don’t live in the Phoenix area, The East Valley of Phoenix can mean different things to different folks and the definition has changed as time has progressed. As the Phoenix area expands, the East Valley has come to include locations not only in Maricopa County, but also sites in Pinal County.
For our purposes, I will define the East Valley to include the location east of the I10 extending to the Superstition Mountains. The local is dissected by US 60 and includes the towns of Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, Apache Junction, San Tan Valley, and we’ll extend the district to include Ahwatukee and Gold Canyon since those venues are commonly left out of any metropolitan area. The total population of those entities account for approximately 1.6 million of the Phoenix metropolitan area population that is right at 5 million.
