The **21st Century ROAD to Housing Act** is now law!

This bipartisan legislation passed Congress by an overwhelming **85–5 vote** and represents one of the most significant federal housing reforms in decades.

Here are some of the key provisions:

**Protecting Homebuyers**
The law restricts large private equity firms that buy up hundreds of single-family homes, helping everyday families compete for homeownership instead of competing with Wall Street investors.

**Building More Housing**
It cuts unnecessary red tape, encourages the construction of new homes, and makes it easier to convert vacant buildings into much-needed housing.

**Addressing Appraisal Bias**
Homeowners who believe their property has been unfairly undervalued can request a second appraisal, helping ensure that families have a fair opportunity to build wealth through homeownership regardless of race or background.

Senator Raphael Warnock described this legislation as a meaningful bipartisan step toward addressing America's housing affordability crisis. While no single law will solve the problem overnight, this is an important move in the right direction.

Affordable housing and fair access to homeownership strengthen families, neighborhoods, and communities.

Homeownership should be about opportunity it is not about being priced out by large corporate investors.
