Story time!
I was in my first year of real estate and was assisting a client with their offer on a new construction built home.

The company of the new construction homes had their own purchase agreement. I reviewed the contract multiple times, I assure you!

The fine print says if we use their preferred title closer, the buyer gets a $1,000 credit. We were all happy and excited.
Fine print: comes from buyer's broker's compensation. 😭

I didn't notice it until it was near closing day and I went through their documents again. Oh boy! It's ok. 🤧
I didn't inform the buyers until we were at the closing table. It was a nice gift to them for their new home! I told them it was a nice mistake to remember me by.
Moral of the story: READ THE FINE PRINT!
