PW is painting elevator doors and door frames today (the grey is the new color). We begin by sanding and prepping the doors, including filling scratches with multiple coats of high-build primer. Since these doors and frames are receiving a paint with a semi gloss finish, they likely will require three or more coats for a durable, solid-color appearance.
