WE WILL NEVER FORGET
Today we pause and reflect on the September 11, 2001 attacks on America. A time when our nation fell under attack and everything changed in that moment. A day when a series of four coordinated attacks killed and injured thousands of innocent people. A day when a group of terrorists tried to destroy the American people and all that we stand for. A day when our nation quickly came together and made it known that we will not surrender to evil.
On this 24th year anniversary, we remember the heroes that risked their own lives to save the lives of others. These same heroes ran towards the falling towers in attempt to save people that they didn’t even know. We continue to pray for all the people who were killed and injured that day and for others who are still suffering and dying as a result of the attacks. We pray for our brothers and sisters who put on their uniforms and confront danger on a daily basis and who are willing to put their lives on the line. This attack helps us remember why we STAND strong, while respecting our country and flag.
We vowed then and we vow again today, to never forget the lives lost and the sacrifices made. We will never forget the courage of those who stood up in the face of terror.
In light of the challenges that our nation faces today, we must recommit ourselves to ending violence and find ways to treat each other with respect, even when we disagree politically or personally. Violence is never the answer. We ask for God’s guidance to help us be compassionate and understanding as we move forward.
May God Bless America!
