This is the reason that you need a home inspection. You can’t just trust the municipal code inspectors. There has to be an extension pipe on the pressure relief valve on the right side of this water heater. There isn’t one. But there is an approval sticker on the left side for this installation from the town of Kearny NJ.

I hope that everyone is staying safe and following the social distancing guidelines. There are devices that actually kill viruses that can be installed in your HVAC system. I have The Reme Halo device in my AC units. They are being used all over the world to kill viruses and other pollutants. Call your local HVAC professional for more information.

Please be sure to have your heating and hot water systems serviced regularly. Also, be sure that you have working CO and smoke detectors in your home. Tragedies like this can be avoided by taking those simple steps.

Detectives are investigating the death of a man apparently due to carbon monoxide poisoning in West Hills.

Spring is here! Time to call your HVAC professional to make sure that your condenser unit is healthy enough to turn on this year. At a minimum, look inside with a flashlight and make sure that animals haven’t chewed your wires.

The spring market is booming along the the above average spring showers. 30% more rain this spring is causing issues where they didn't previously exist. Make sure to clean your gutters and extend your leaders! Covering the window wells and grading the soil to pitch away from the house are also great spring projects.
